Pet's feel pain too!

We recommend pain medications for your pet. Studies show that pet's who receive pain medications recover much more quickly then pet's who don't. They also are less likely to self-mutilate their incision site and are happier postoperatively. Pets do not show their pain by nature, so they are counting on you to learn about this. The small cost is well worth it and will result in much better recovery. In addition, a new modality that has recently surfaced in Veterinary Medicine is Laser Surgery. Laser Surgery has resulted in decreased pain perception postoperatively. Please ask your AAH staff member or Veterinarian for more information.
